Pros & Cons

There are many things to consider when choosing an electric vehicle (EV) charging station, and ChargePoint is one of the leading providers. Here we will take a look at the pros and cons of this particular brand.

PROS:

- One of the biggest selling points of ChargePoint is its wide range of options. There are different types of chargers for different needs, which gives customers plenty of choice.

- Another big plus is that ChargePoint stations are compatible with all major EV brands, so you don't need to worry about compatibility issues.

- The company also offers a useful smartphone app which allows users to find nearby stations, check status updates, and even pay for charging sessions.

CONS:

- One downside of ChargePoint is that it can be more expensive than some other brands on the market. This is something to keep in mind if you're working within a tight budget.

- Additionally, some users have reported problems with the quality of the chargers themselves, so it's worth doing your research before making a purchase.

It's useful for seeing if specific charge stations are available. But I'd also like to add regularly-used ones to my personal list (by tapping the "heart" icon) so I needn't search for them each time... [EDIT:] Thanks! Is there a way to show only charge stations and hide all the other clutter (shopping, points of interest, etc.)? We have map & GPS apps for all that... When we run this, it's to see where we can charge our EVs, not where to have lunch."

Phone NFC start at charge point station at work now works only about 25% of the time. For months this was 100% working. The "My Spots" function is garbage. It's supposed to be your favorite station but it appears to show your favorite along with all spots within a 10 mile radius. My location has 2 poles each with 2 J1772 plugs. For some reason the app wants to make these 2 poles right next to each other separate stations. Trying to find the status of these stations is not fast, clear, or easy."
