This app came through for me when my phone wouldn't send or receive SMS messages. It has a streamlined feel with all the basic features I needed, it works like a dream and I'm enjoying using the Stories feature. And, setting up with my own phone number was possible, since they had options OTHER than SMS texts for confirmation - which I found to be rare. Thanks to all the people who left positive reviews here; I'm glad i listened to you."

Good. Private. Secure. It used to send photos and files without altering their format or resolution. It now does lower the resolution and quality. However, it was updated so that it can be muted for 8 hours to silence at while sleeping or at work. Some of the new options are irritating. I now have to scroll to select all because of options like strikethrough. It's also irritating that when I pull down to refresh, it takes me to an empty page of no chats."

Used to be great. Now it's just so-so. The devs are clearly focused upon silly and unnecessary side features at the expense of functionality and usefulness. I think it's probably still robust for security and (to a lesser extent) privacy, but I also think perhaps with such a large user base the voices in the room have multiplied and the project has lost focus."
